Professor Gerry Fowkes

Professor of Epidemiology, Edinburgh

Professor Fowkes is an epidemiologist who has researched extensively on the risk factors and prognosis of peripheral arterial diseases and is concerned that the high risks of death and major cardiovascular events associated with PAD are being overlooked in the management of such patients. The omission of PAD from the QOF of the GMS contract will be detrimental to these patients.
