Miss Julie Brittenden
Senior Lecturer in Vascular Surgery, Aberdeen
Miss Julie Brittenden graduated in Medicine from Aberdeen University and spent a year on the Surgical SHO rotation before commencing research in immunology. On moving to Edinburgh to continue clinical training, Miss Brittenden developed an interest in vascular surgery and was appointed Senior lecturer in Vascular Surgery in Aberdeen in January 2001.
Miss Brittenden’s research interest is modifying cardiovascular risk factor management, in particular assessing and improving the prothrombotic state of patients with PAD. She is a member of the SIGN working group on management of PAD, specialist expert to the Scottish Medicine Consortium and Criticism Editor for the Cochrane PVD group.
